Part of Hoosier National Forest, there is a 1 mile trail through a beautiful little slot canyon. The trail passes a campsite at just under a quarter mile, steadily gaining elevation to climb a ridge high above the creek. Unfortunately, vandals have damaged the property at Hemlock Falls. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and nature trips and is accessible year-round. Hemlock Falls is located in the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest, just across the street from Moccasin Creek State Park, which is on Lake Burton in Clarkesville, GA.
