I mainly do gaming and movie watching on my Samsung, both have benefits and drawbacks, it’s quite jarring going from the oled to the qled for stuff with dark content and the LG screen certainly looks better. The two best deals I could find is a Samsung 55 inch y q90t 4k tv at 1350$ CAD OR an LG CX 55 inch oled 4k tv at 1840$ CAD I hear that one of the downsides of the q90t is it doesn't support Dolby vision. WTF? But the most annoying thing about my c9 is that i have bright white edges around my c9. The best picture you can get all things considered will be an OLED in a dark room, but an OLED will suffer more from non ideal lightning. I know it's a rare case, but I like to be care-free when using my TV, and just the concern over using it and knowing that burn is a possibility would probably drive me nuts. Few do, actually. So.... idk why some people say it makes it look terrible. The issue with Samsung TVs is they need to disable a bunch of features in game mode that make them great TVs for movies. the samsung's color lacks sometimes while watching live sports compared to the LG, but the LG often doesn't look as sharp to me when the broadcast uses the main overhead field/court camera view. It worse in HDR too - HDR is the dumbest concept ever. QLED for gaming. I ended up getting the q80t for the next gen consoles and I couldn’t be any happier.
